PENINGKATAN PRODUKSI MASSAL BENIH KAKAP MERAH (Lutjanus sp.) SECARA CO FEEDING ANTARA PAKAN BUATAN DAN PAKAN HIDUP

In the maintenance of seed Red Snapper, problems often faced is the larval mortality age 5, 12 and 20 days and after the seed phase of hatchery seed age 30-50 days, this failure is caused by the constraints of a given live feed (limited quantity and nutritional quality ). Efforts to address the problem of feeding trials conducted on larvae and Red Snapper are co seeds feeding between artificial feed and live feed. Artificial feeding frequency of liquid 3 times daily. Activity of this trial aims to determine the growth, survival of larvae and seed Red Snapper with feeding the co feeding Maintenance activities performed at the hatchery larvae while maintaining seeds in nursery wards BBPBL (Main Center for Mariculture Development) Lampung in March - June 2012. Commodity is maintained and L argentimaculatusL.malabaricus. Treatment A. co feeding (artificial feed live food + liquid) and B. Control (live feed). Larval rearing system wereusing green water. Stocking after the eggs hatch into larvae red snapper with density 10 ind / l. Transparent plastic tubs covered treatment to stabilize the temperature, but light can still enter.Larval rearing using co feeding (liquid + artificial feed live feed) on larval rearing L. argentimaculatus and L. malabaricus generate survival rate at 30 days was 5.96% and 8.01%. Growth in co feeding method is better than the pet by using a live feed alone. But the thing to consider is the management of water quality, because artificial feeding can increase the content of liquid ammonia and nitrite in the media maintenance.
